The Philosophy of Education Society of Great Britain is a registered charity (no 287214). It is managed in accordance with its Constitution.


According to the Constitution (Article II) the Purpose of the Society is:

(a) To promote for the public benefit the advancement and teaching of Philosophy of Education.

(b) In furtherance of this objective but not further or otherwise the Society shall have the following powers:
(i) To arrange and provide for meetings and conferences on subjects of general and special interest to Philosophy of Education. 
(ii) To keep a register of members, their qualifications and appointments. 
(iii) To provide for the publication of the Journal of Philosophy of Education.
