Setting up a PESGB branch

The work of our branches is an important element in the Society's activities.  Branch meetings are a source of new ideas and they also offer opportunities for members to meet each other.  Each branch has a secretary who arranges a varied programme of events including speakers, discussions and debates.

The Society is committed to maintaining and developing its programme of branch meetings and conferences. The duties of branch secretary include:

  • establishing a mailing list of people who may be attracted to meetings of the branch
  • organising and advertising a programme of meetings

Branches have a considerable autonomy in the organisation of their activities and costs incurred in relation to speakers at branch meetings can be claimed from the Society.

If you are interested in starting a branch in your local area please contact the Secretary of the Society, Dr Ben Kotzee.
