In this seminar Gareth will explore how ideas from Philosophy of Science can inform pedagogical approaches in the science classroom. He will draw on work from philosophers, such as Popper and Kuhn, to demonstrate how their work can be applied in the classroom.
Gareth would then like to discuss some of his recent ideas surrounding the nature of school science and how ‘scientific’ knowledge is constructed within the science curriculum.
