WHAT WILL WE DO AT THE ROAD MOVIE SUMMER SCHOOL?

  • We will watch a range of different road movies as shared texts for our discussions.
  • You will get a basic introduction to the language of cinema, film conventions and technical vocabulary, which will help you to share your ideas about film.
  • You will get an introduction to the language/concept of education.
  • We will discuss how the artform of film enacts education.

DO I HAVE TO PREPARE ANYTHING FOR THE SUMMER SCHOOL?

  • There will be a few readings that we will ask you to prepare before you join us in Glasgow.
  • These will be short preparatory readings about film conventions, introductions to the films we watch and readings about the concept of pedagogy (or education)

Accommodation and Food will be provided for free for the duration of the summer!
