Stacie Friend is Reader in Philosophy at Birkbeck, University of London. She is President of the British Society of Aesthetics and Director of the interdisciplinary research project Art Opening Minds: Imagination and Perspective in Film, funded by the Templeton Religion Trust. Her research interests are in philosophy of fiction, philosophy of art and aesthetics, and philosophy of language and mind.
