Carys Evans is an ESRC-funded PhD student in the School of Education, University of Birmingham. She is interested in extremism and its prevention, utopian thinking, and education. She has practitioner experience in preventing violence and extremism in schools and communities across the UK and has given papers on these topics for the Canadian government, international NGOs and UK local authorities.
