Book Launch Education and Democracy at The End. The Crisis of Sense by Mario Di Paolantonio

In his recent book Di Paolantonio (York University, Canada) grapples with what it means when education and democracy seem to be at an end. Di Paolantonio shows that today the possibilities for the future and the significance of an expansive transgenerational sensibility are radically in question. Drawing on contemporary philosophy, educational thinking, and cultural-artistic works, Di Paolantonio explores how the transgenerational sensibility retains a possibility for overcoming the impasses of our time.

In this book launch event Di Paolantonio will discuss some of the major issues he deals with in his book. This will then be followed by two responses to his book, delivered by Joris Vlieghe (KU Leuven, Belgium) and Christiane Thompson (Goethe Universität Frankfurt, Germany).

Time: 12:00-14:00 CET. Everyone is welcome and the event is free to attend. Livestream: Click here to join the meeting (Meeting ID: 368 375 019 052; Passcode: 4PaNf8).
