The Association of University Lecturers in Religion and Education (AULRE) and Association of Religious Education Inspectors, Advisers and Consultants (AREIAC) 2025 joint conference.
Our conference brings together those with an interest in religious education (including researchers, teacher educators, advisers and teachers). Those working in aligned fields such as Education Studies, Moral Education, Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Theology as well as from within Childhood and Youth studies may also be interested in attending and offering presentations.
This year’s conference theme is ‘To Boldy Go’. Proposals will address the conference theme and may focus on one or more of the following questions:
- How might religious education respond to the climate crisis, societal injustice and/or to social and political polarisation? What pedagogical proposals are emerging?
- What fruitful intersections are there between theory, policy and practice in RE?
- What might a bold and inclusive religious education look like?
- What bold educational ideas are emerging for teaching religion, values, ethics and worldviews?
