Nick Stock is a British Academy Research Fellow in the School of Education, University of Birmingham. His research is focused on the desires of trainee teachers through a psychoanalytic lens. He has other interests in poststructuralist philosophy and radical political theory. He holds a doctorate in Philosophy of Education from the University of Birmingham and was an English teacher for twelve years.
