Jonathan Webber is Professor of Philosophy and Head of Philosophy in the School of English, Communication and Philosophy at Cardiff University. He has research interests in what current ethical thought can learn from twentieth-century existentialist philosophy and the ways in which social psychology can inform moral philosophy. His books include Rethinking Existentialism (OUP, 2018), The Penguin Book of Existentialist Philosophy (Penguin, 2025), From Personality to Virtue: Essays on the Philosophy of Character (OUP, 2016) and Reading Sartre: On Phenomenology and Existentialism (Routledge, 2011).
