Bruce Maxwell is Associate Professor of Education at the University of Montreal.
He has research interests in school law, ethical development in the professions, and ethical and legal issues in education.
His books include: Professional Ethics Education: Studies in Compassionate Empathy (Springer, 2008); Questioning the Classroom: Perspectives on Canadian Education (OUP, 2016, with Gereluk, Martin and Norris); The Importance of Philosophy in Teacher Education: Mapping the Decline and its Consequences (Routledge, 2019, with Colgan); and Professional Ethics and Law in Education: A Canadian Guidebook (Canadian Scholars, 2023, with Gereluk and Martin).
