PESGB recognises that early career academics, independent researchers and PhD students with little or no research hours on their workloads, are often short of time to initiate, consolidate or complete research projects. It is therefore offering funds for a Writing Retreat from Wednesday July 2 – Friday July 4 2025 at Charney Manor in Oxfordshire, for a small group of people, to help them work on projects in a congenial and scholarly atmosphere with like-minded colleagues.
If you have very little research time, have heavy teaching and marking workloads, and possibly family commitments as well, it may be difficult to get any research done. In that case, this retreat is for you.
The closing date for receipt of applications is 6pm on Friday 21 March.
Applicants will be informed of the outcome by Friday 25 April.
