The Future of Education: Reimagining its Aims and Responsibilities

This hybrid conference brings together leading thinkers in philosophy of education to discuss important philosophical questions arising from recent global crises affecting education. Topics are diverse, including mental health in schools, re-appraising the curriculum in light of the climate crisis, fostering honesty, tackling extremism, relationships education, and the aims of education.

Delegates attending in person have the opportunity to join speakers at a wine reception and meals, although places are limited. The conference will be screened live online, and attendance online is free (a link will be circulated to those who have registered).

The papers will be published in the volume ‘The Future of Education: Reimagining its Aims and Responsibilities’, forthcoming from Oxford University Press in 2023 and edited by Jon Beale and Christina Easton.
