I am currently working on the Maker{Futures} project at the University of Sheffield where I work with primary teachers to integrate practical making into their pedagogical repertoire. I am interested in how making physical artefacts shape the ways we think about education, how we do education, and what we value about it. I am a novice scholar studying for a doctorate, exploring how teachers carve out spaces for meaningful practice within chaotic and oppressive structures. My expertise is formed by 15 years as a History teacher and school leader in English state schools.
