I am a PhD candidate at Karlsruhe University of Education in the subject of Erziehungswissenschaften (Education Sciences/ Studies), more specifically, Allgemeine Pädagogik (general pedagogy). My PhD research explores two key concepts, ‘pedagogy’ and ‘nature’, to offer a theoretical perspective(s) on how pedagogy as a discipline was influenced by natural philosophy and Romanticism at the beginning of the 19th century. I have also written about Bildung and its Danish counterpart dannelse, pedagogical tact, as well as a brief flirtation with posthumanism in my master’s studies. I am based in Tromsø, Norway, where I participate in the Philosophy of Education and ICRED research groups at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.
