James Brown

James Brown is a maths teacher at an inner-city school in Coventry and a part-time MA student in Character Education at the University of Birmingham. In October 2025, he will begin an ESRC-funded PhD at the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues, University of Birmingham, investigating the role of reflection in the development and education of practical wisdom. His research bridges philosophical theory and classroom practice to empower young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to lead flourishing lives.
