Taiki Shimosakai

Taiki Shimosakai is a postgraduate student at the University of Birmingham (MA Education) and a recipient of the Chancellor’s Postgraduate Scholarship.

He is a former public primary school teacher in Japan and a Teach For Japan fellow (Teach First’s Japanese partner). He has also served as a teacher trainer and co-authored a textbook on educational leadership, officially adopted by Japanese universities since 2024. As a practitioner, he collaborated with Oxford University Press on educational AI development.

His research explores the intersections of educational philosophy, technology, and power.
